President Jakaya Kikwete has appointed Hussein A. Kattanga as the Chief Executive Officer of the Judiciary Department with effect from July 1, 2012.A press statement issued yesterday by the State House in Dar es Salaam said Kattanga’s appointment is part of implementation of the recently introduced new judiciary system and implementation of the Judiciary Management Act No. 4 of 2011.
It said the Act introduced new scheme of service for court administrators.
Until his appointment, Kattanga was the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government.
